WJAR WEATHER

Why is WJAR'S Chief Meteorologist Gary Ley only on the 11pm newscast? 5pm thru 6pm has been handled by John Ghiorse. This has been going on for awhile now.

Maybe they're doing the co-chief Meteorologist thing like WCVB in Boston. Is someone's contract just about up (Ghiorse or Ley). With Searles heading to WJAR, it makes you wonder... ;)

Speaking of WJAR, does anyone have any idea when they will muster up some money and get a new set? They have had teh same set design since they moved into the new building about 10 years ago, although the set got a little refurbish. It is a bit crazy when WLNE gets a new set! Also why does the graphics in the Plasmas not match the new logo?

What is the deal over at Channel 10? Are they getting rid of Gary Ley for Mark Searles? If thats the case. A very bad move. Ley has been off the air for a few weeks now. Is he, or WPRI's Steve Cascione going over to WLNE?

Who said they are "getting rid" of someone? They never replaced Dylan Drier. I doubt Gary or John will leave --easy gig-- and they may want 4 fulltime,2 partime weather personnel.
