WJARs Kelly Bates off Mornings

In a much needed change, Kelly Bates is now being replaced by longtime forecaster Gary Ley.

Bates has been forecasting the weather on 10's Sunrise Show since 2004.

According to Gary Ley's Facebook page, he is starting either this week or next.

It also says that Bates will stay with the station.
 
I'm not sure how "much needed" this is as they were killing in the ratings. I don't know if the Rhode show has cut their lead somewhat?
My guess- Ley would be a bridge to a young female weather person-type that tend to dominate the Boston market (they need another Dylan).
 
I just can't stand to watch Kelly Bates. I just don't like her style, and I don't think she is a very good forecaster to begin with.

I'm glad that 10 chose to replace her with someone with experience (25 years).
