Just read on PBRTV that they are going live in PM drive.

what does that mean? live liner jocks instead of that canned stuff?

Chris Shovlin is taking the afternoon shift after being dropped from the morning show to save an on-air salary. Makes me wonder if either Bogut or Cardille is thinking about hanging it up and the station wants Chris to work on his DJ chops so he can slide into one of the vacant spots.

Buddy told me he was off the morning show to concentrate on his promotions director position. There was an assistant who is no longer there. I have heard him filling in occasionally for Bogut and Baughman though since.

Uh huh. They wanted to dump an on-air salary. Chris had juggled his two Renda jobs, plus sports pbp assignments for years. He'd done all that without an assistant in the past. Mike McGann worked his butt off putting together the Cardille tribute, and they showed him the door not long after that. They also dropped Mark Roberts as their production guy.

P4life, your statement about chris shovlin being under appreciated is actually an understatement. chris is talented in so many areas, so versatile, reliable and loaded with class. he may be the most underated sports play by play guy in town. he could easily do major college football. his work at robert morris has been exceptional, helping to make robert morris football sound like it's big ten coverage. it's sad that he's probably never achieved larger financial returns on his talent......i'm not kidding, when hillgrove retires, i'd hire chris to take his pace. in my opinion he's that good. by the way, i am not his brother or wife. just bump into him every now and then.

There is no other thinking here other than Shovlin is cheaper than the national product, plus they get all of those avails back. Its about cash flow, something they have very little of these days.
