Anyone know what's going on with 88.5 WJBE Five Points (Jasper area)? I've gotten word that they've been off for a few weeks. I'm not seeing any STA on file at the FCC, either. They apparently haven't answered any offers for help lately, too.

They seemed to provide a somewhat unique program lineup for their coverage area, but like WQLS in Camden and (supposedly) WOWL in Burnsville, MS, they play full blown commercials. I'm not sure they have EAS installed, either.

What is it with these noncoms not playing by the rules?
 
They may be off to build out their CP... they've had one out for a while to upgrade from (I believe) 500 watts to 3.9 kw. I'm going to be heading towards Arley (about 7 miles N of their tower site) in a little while, and I will get the scoop ;)
