WJBR is Christmas

As of 3pm today they are all Christmas. I for one enjoy the music. Lets guess when B flips.
 
They've never done an early morning change yet. And the days of quick changes after WJBR are now years old.
 
I live in the Wilmington area and I must admit WJBR-FM hasn't been on my car radio preset for many years. JBR - Just Boring Radio.
 
Well B is not going to react to WJBR. No need to. B owns the Christmas franchise in Philly. They can go whenever they want to and still win.

100.7 WLEV up in Allentown also made the switch to X-Mas tunes a few days back
 
100.7 usually switches around the same time WJBR does. Like imhomerjay said, the days of B flipping in reaction to WJBR going early are over. I do wonder however if WOGL were flip to all Christmas this early if B would react to that. I personally hope B 101 waits until at least Black Friday to make the change.
 
"Now" was more of an attempt at direct competition, and when they did the silly Halloween change, the B didn't jump moments later, either. They let it play out, went in the mid-November range they've seem to settled into, and went about their business.
 
what about in 2003 when sunny 104.5 went christmas the night before thanksgiving @ 6pm it just came out of nowhere and b101 did not even respond then the ratings came out and 104.5 was in second place while b101.1 slipped down to 5th place i think

then in 2004 b101.1 went chrstmas @ 3pm on a wednesday afternoon sunny 104.5 did not respond until 7pm that night
they just segued out of a song then bam christmas music came on
 
Well B did react to JBR one year. I think 3 or 4 years ago, the PD of B101 would later recount that he was shopping at a mall, got a call about JBR switch (I think it was a Saturday morning), and responded by giving the order to switch B to Christmas right away
 
Yes, quite some time ago. But there seems to be this continued recounting of that as if it's a regular pattern. It's long in the past now.

And lo and behold, B 101 changed today, the Thursday before Thanksgiving, fairly consistent with recent years.

So is Walgreens (a partial mix). At least at their Townsend, DE store as of Mon. 11/14.

When you say you stop recording stations that play chrismtas music, what do you mean? How much do you record?
 
I record lots. What i mean is that I stop recording when a station either starts playing christmas music 24/7, or when a station puts chrischristmas music sprinkled in there regular programming.
