Did anyone notice WJJA has been off the air for couple days? What's going on there?

Probably transmitter problems. WEXT shares the site over there in Oak Creek and they're on just fine. Last time I saw WJJA was 2 nights ago when I was playing with my indoor antenna. After reading your post, I checked and Time Warner is not getting a signal from them.

I was flipping through the cable dials this evening and noticed it's back on - with the usually subpar picture quality one can expect from this station. WJJA must operate on a shoestring budget. I like the fact it's locally - and minority - owned, but there just has to be a better use for the full-power station than the mishmash of home shopping (mostly) and obscure programming.

If it makes Kinlow $$$$$$$$$$$$ why not run the shouters from Shop@Home? I'm sure Shop@Home pays them for airtime.

He makes decent money off it, I was told he makes about $100 each hour he airs the shopping network. I guess he could make even more but there is something with his divorce that prevents that. Its my guess that the TV station pays to keep his AM going.<P ID="signature">______________
