WJMK stream

Has Infinity hired back any of the Oldies DJs for the WJMK Oldies Stream yet?
Edited by Danfm on 06/23/05 04:27 AM.

Most of them are still there...running board for Jack. Stream is supposed to be up soon.

The online WJMK is their old format they previosly had on FM. The radio version of WJMK is now Jack FM. The Jack FM WJMK is not streaming yet but the old WJMK oldies format is streaming.

I would not be too sure of that. Jack can be run off the HD very well.

But, the old jocks are doing a lot of voiceover stuff. That is going on.
______________

So that begs the question. Will there ever be a webstream
broadcast schedule approximating the old WJMK broadcast day or was
that all Infinity BS to diffuse some of the anger? Infinity keeps
touting the soon-to-be HD broadcast of Oldies 104.3, but they
forget to mention that a typical HD Radio receiver will set you
back around $250.

If Biondi and Winston ever do get back on-the-air, they`ll
have the thrill of broadcasting to about thirty people.

It's true that Jack could run really easily on the simplest autopilot, but my post was not speculation. Paul Perry and Biondi are the only oldies jocks that have not been running board for Jack.

HD Radio or not, there's still the glorious 32kbps stream. (Sarcasm on the glorious part) It's better then nothing and can be heard worldwide. I find myself regularly listening to it.

There've been enough instances of songs starting up before liners were finished and some other instances that were indicating that board-ops were around.

This morning, the board-op in doing a dead segue (which they seem to be once again doing one of those a half-hour) had the intro of "Higher Love" playing while the ending of "Groove Is in the Heart" was still going. Would almost think that that was on purpose, since he started it right on the end of the vocal as the petering-out bass line was coming in.

And if anyone else plays "Groove Is in the Heart," do they play the version with the rap break anymore? I only hear the version without on Music Choice and (I think) LAUNCHcast.
