WJPR now WWCW

WBVA-5 (WB 5) is now WWCW-5. (CW 5) Anyone know if WJPR-27 is now WWCW-27?
I'm assuming you're in Virginia...isn't that a cable-only WB affiliate?

Yeah..I love it how people assume we know the call letters and city of every tv station in the world, so they don't bother telling us what city they are talking about.

Hi everyone:

To say NOTHING of the fact that you're talking about one call (WWCW) for TWO DIFFERENT channels (One of which could be a real non-cable channel).

Maybe I ought to start doing that with the Denver stations - Just to see how they'd react.

Thoughts? :)

Cheers :)

WBVA/5 is the "pseudo" call sign of WFXR/WJPR's "digital only" WB station. It's not a true call sign, in FCC terms, but it's just a branding that's being used in Roanoke/Lynchburg. They could call themselves "RKDN/5" for that matter, and there's nothing that the FCC could do - but folks know "stations start with a K or W", so starting with another letter might confuse the population (since the programming is broadcast over the air...)
