That suxs... cause they are better than 98rock in tampa. Hopefully a New Rock Station will come out of this and Rock Florida... Wait.. Someone buy it and make me Music Director :) hehe

Nooooooo! JRR was a great CC station. One of the few. Hopefully they retain some of the staff, but I bet CC moves them to 98 Rock.

yea, right! lol ::)
last time, i checked-in w/ them
(see post: (wjye/wbuf) on the Buffalo/Niagara Falls board

i got laughed at - but, i will glance it over!

somehow, this comes as no surprise to me. wonder who will buy it and wonder what they will do with the format?

if it gets sold maybe we will not have to hear those hacks lex and terry on there. put them on tks or something. that station is going downhill anyway so just put them as morning show on tks...

What is this "they're going downhill" stuff? Last I checked they hit #1 M25-54 across the board... I mean, maybe they've slipped in the all-important 12+ numbers.... but overall they're one of the big moneymakers in that cluster.

Very good point...the reason the station is for sale is because the FCC has said they will no longer grant waivers,So they will of had to sell off ONE Station in the Orlando Market...just as they did with WGNE (98 FROG) now WNUE 98.1.

I can see Cumulus making a bid for WJRR. With the small cluster they already have in Brevard, 101.1 would be a nice addition and probably a good way to score some Orlando ad dollars. You gotta figure that in today's business, a big broadcaster isn't going to come to Orlando and pay 20 million for a stand alone FM.

However... how about these possibilities:
Mega sells off WNUE or even keeps it and finds the cash for 101.1?
Could Salem make a play for it?
Obviously in both of these situations the current format on 101.1 would be GONE. Hence why I continue to say to the people at Cox... RE-POSITION 96.5 and 98.9!!!!! This is your chance to own the rock market.
