WJW Anchor Shuffle

A move we all knew was coming was made officially official as Kristi Capel does indeed take over for Tracy McCool at the WJW morning anchor desk.

And this means Kristi will now be on Fox 8 for six-and-a-half hours straight. Including New Day Cleveland at 10.

Wow.

Now the link I included says that Stefani Schaffer comes in at 7. Is Kristi going full bore on "Fox 8 News in the Morning", or will she "tag out" after 7?

Stephanie has always had the 7am-10am portion since she returned to Fox 8.

I would take it that Kristi is assuming Tracey's complete role on "In the Morning," but it's possible that her overall presence lessens after 8am (especially if "New Day" were to have live tapings scheduled).

Now FOX 8 has hired a co-anchor for the noon newscast, Gabe Spiegel, formerly of WSYX-WTTE in Columbus, giving the station a duo instead of a solo presence. He will also report for later broadcasts as well.

He's the second new to pop up this week in addition to Peggy Sinkovich, who just came from Youngstown and will report from the "I-Team" along with veteran Jack Shea.
