Besides, that "hope so" is just a personal preference. There's no reason Columbus shouldn't have a Smooth Jazz.I was actually kind of disappointed at their coverage map. Doesn't compare to what WHIZ will get. My understanding is that this is a coalition format in terms of demographics and income, but I'd imagine that still includes a lot of higher income suburbanites. So an area like Dublin would seem crucial, making it more likely they'll keep the simulcast. Remains to be seen about the important aspect fo downtown office penetration given the havoc the WBNS tower can wreak for stations with outlying towers, especailly class A's.Apollo7979 said:On paper, the primary signal looks pretty good and is slatted to cover most of Columbus proper. That should get some numbers with the at-work professionals downtown who will finally be able to hear WJZA's signal on their radios at work (unless building penetration is bad or lots of RF is coming off of the downtown FM towers which could affect 103.5's signal).I think 104.3's signal is going to be the wild card in terms of format change. With 103.5 moving closer to town, the necessity of the simulcast isn't really needed unless Saga really wants a city-grade smooth jazz signal in Dublin.
