WKAP Rises Like the Phoenix

Rising from the ash, WKAP is back. Except it's in Reading on 1340. What's the point of that? And it's out the window with the WRAW calls.

Clear Channel probably wanted to park the call letters so no other Lehigh Valley station would pick them up.
I'm not sure who would consider it. THis happens all the time when a company thinks it has a set of call letters with some heritage behind it.

WRAW has some heritage as well but CC apparently thinks not as much as KAP.

They should have parked them in Philly on 104.5.

Yeah, that makes sense......jettison one set of heritage calls (WKAP) for another (WRAW).

And soon, I predict the same fate that befell 1470 will strike 1340 (as in it seems Cheap Channel is ridding itself of all Oldies stations).
