WKCE Has Live Mid-day DJ

WKCE has had a morning drive guy live for some time (I have never heard him because I am 3 hours behind ET) but today I'm hearing someone called "the beach bum". Doesn't sound all that polished but from his comments I assume he is over 60. The mic is kinda weak and hollow sounding - sort of like he is using a closet as his studio. Don't know how this compares to the MD guy's sound. Still no commercial load but the DJ does like to talk over the beginning and ending of his songs. :mad:
 
Is it best for an oldies station to sound modern, except for the music, or to participate in having the jocks role play with all that cool and groovy, Moondawgy talk? I hear it done both ways.
