WKCG Augusta?

Their website seems to be showing the same songs "Last Played" since the last time I went there, then I went to Wikipedia and saw that WKCG is now a News/Talk station, instead of a Hot AC station, is this true? Did Blueberry change this station too, and how come it wasn't as known as the other stations?

(probably we were spending so much time complaining/criticizing their WEEI move that we forgot about the Augusta/Waterville changes)

WKCG is an AC. That must be a typo. They are in Delilah right now. Bob & Sherri in AM drive, and then music till Delilah. I think her show is past it’s prime but they still run in. I would assume that the Clear Channel website are no longer getting the info from the stations server. The sites are probably just floating in web space. Why would Clear Channel care about those sites? CC probably have bigger fish to fry then taking down sites of stations they don't own anymore.

True, who exactly are the DJ's for that station, is there any? The old site said there's this Alisa but idk if that was back a year ago.
I'm still waiting for Blueberry to finish up the WKSQ/WTOS/other blueberry websites. How long does it really take to make a website (give the fact that they probably aren't going to do the cool things CC does to their websites, show last played, who's "on", news/info, etc..)

You probably can get a site up fast if you have someone on staff to build it. Didn't they let a lot of people go when they took over? I would think web people would be low on the list of people to hire. Does WNSX in Ellsworth have a site? They've been on the air for over 2 years...

Not that I've ever seen (Joe?)...I doubt Osborne & Co. are concerned with a website when their a stand-alone FM going up against the big groups like Blueberry/Cumulus, they probably just want sales ###'s.

One station that I noticed launched their website quickly (moreso than Blueberry) was Mountain Wireless' WFMX Mix 107.9 (mixmaine.com). Didn't take them much time to revamp their website. (And if the WKCG format typo on wikipedia is correct, expect 107.9 to reap the benefits of a format flip)..

Not sure who is on-air during non Bob & Sherri/Delilah hours...but I do know WKCG doesn't pitch their music ;D check them off your list Ben for non-pitched stations.

Blueberry's already got an Augusta News/Talk in WCME and I think WVOM (also BB) in Bangor covers ok. How many talk/sports stations would Blueberry really want to have?

I've got an idea! Blueberry could launch a "men talk (like WZAN)/rock" format on TOS

5a-10a: Tom O & Mr. Mike, more talk and less music
10a -3p: Bob & Tom taped delay
3p - 7p: the Mike O'Meara show
8p - 5a: Music or any other men talk show

That would only leave what, the Country stations, WABK & WKSQ that would be non-talk blueberry stations. Maybe a talk format for women would sound good on a WABK/WKSQ simulcast...you never know.

Yikes, no, that's all WTOS needs is more talk, even though I'm not a big rock fan, I did like what they had before Blueberry came, a good rock station, lots of variety, lots of rock hits. Personally, I think one of the country stations should flip to something else (104.7 The Fox all over again.... CHR?) :D Lucky 99 and The Bear are almost the SAME stations, they play the same sat. programming and play almost the same music, (Lucky 99 played more classic country). Lucky 99 must get into the Bangor area well enough, they already have WQCB, i wish it could be equal for everyone, 2 country's, 2 chr's, 2 rock's, .....

And I already knew that WKCG doesn't pitch, thanks anyway spins45allday, I think they only two stations that "pitch" in Maine are WJBQ and WTHT, i think.

96.7 is licensed to Boothbay Harbor and has virtually no signal north of Augusta, and 101.3 is licensed to Augusta and can cover a good majority of Central Maine (and can carry Howie Carr, which WCME cannot). Talk radio in central Maine is non-existent since 96.3 flipped to sports and 107.9 flipped to AC (no pitching there I'm guessing)
