WKDN assignment of license granted

This was buried in a thread about format discussions. It might be one of the more meaningful milestones in the process.

The FCC has granted the assignment of license application on Thursday 2/23:

This doesn't mean the license has transferred, more like authorization to close the sale.

So are these the steps in the process of selling a Family Radio station in the commercial band?

1. Apply to change from non-commercial to commercial
2. FCC approves change
3. Find a buyer
4. Once a buyer is found, apply to transfer the license
5. Close the sale
6. License transfer or LMA approved
6. The buyer takes control of the station
