WKDN Camden plans

But if everything isn't quite up to snuff then, Merlin might launch an interim format on April 15th under the "Fox" name... more info on the Philadelphia board.

I've read the unyielding thread on the Philly board, and despite our mutual post of the story link DJ, I believe they've still missed the "FOX point. Not a Fox imaging for a music format...a FOX Radio News affiliate.

My only thing is they registered a FMNewsPhilly and a "Fox106.9" - both Domain and Twitter - almost like they're seperate.

That's a good point. It may well be a Fox news (or talk) affiliate.

Didn't conservative talk fail once on FM in Philly? Just having a conservative bias will turn off half the potential audience.

I think the Fox domain may be Merlin throwing us off as to their real plans. I think it'll be another FM News. I'd like an unbiased news station. No conservative bias, no liberal bias, no female bias.

WWDB lasted 25 years and was never as hard-line conservative as modern talk stations are.

What really fails in Philly is out-of-town commercial talk. Outside of Limbaugh and Stern, no syndicated talker has ever really been a long-term success there (unless you want to throw in Coast to Coast AM).

It would be great to have another rock format in the city. I know many disagree but there is a large rock format missing. The harder current side that is trending and selling tens of thousands of albums and millions of YouTube views.

As of April 16th 2012 you will no longer be able to hear Family Radio on WKDN 106.9 FM. 106.9 will be the New Home of
The Rush Limbaugh Show when he stops airing over WPHT 1210 AM.

Who knows, IQ FM might just be the stunt. Just like they fooled us last year with 101.9 FM New. They started out playing an eclectic AC mix, and gradually added more and longer news segments, and then transitioned to FM News.

I agree with Nick. We don't need another conservative station. There are waaaay too many of them already
You'll both grow into it. :) :) :)
