WKGN Sale

Triple S. Enterprises has agreed to sell WKGN-AM radio, in Knoxville, TN, for $500,000, according to company President & CEO Robert L. Stewart.

The stations were purchased by Norsan Entertainment Group, LLC. American Media Services, of Charleston, SC, represented Triple S in this transaction.

Que' pasa! Might as well...they'll be the second Mexican station in East Tennessee, following WMXK in Morristown. That's it...I'm done...........

Probably it won’t be carrying any local programming. The Norsan Group broadcast to most of their existing stations from Charlotte, NC. The programming is Regional Mexican. They have deep pockets, from the other ventures and I guess they want to become the next SBS.

It's the second sale I know of in at least a month to Norsan. They just recently bought an AM in Fayetteville, NC for 800,000.
