WKHB's PSSA

Seems to me I read years ago that they do not immediately drop down to 50 watts at sunset.

I had seen something indicating that they actually ramped down to 500 W, and then 210, and
so forth in several stages before finally settling at 50.

Anecdotally this seems to be the case, as the sun is setting earlier, and to me it seems
their signal gradually gets weaker and weaker over the course of a couple of hours.

Unfortunately I cannot recall or find the web page where I initially came across that info.
Can anyone confirm that's the case?

102.1 Fm(KHB-620) on the air now. Just a hint of a signal here in Johnstown. Q102(Dubois) mostly occupying frequency here. When I find a nice null, I can barely pull out 620KHB.

KDKA radio is reporting that Dr. James Winer has died in Florida.

How on earth is BCI ever going to fill all those hours and hours and hours of brokered programming?

WKHB has ended it's morning music programming.

They have apparently sold all the spots after 6:30 AM.
I always enjoyed it and I am going to miss it. But these guys have spent a lot of money
buying and maintaining stations here. Need to have the revenue to support that. I'm glad
business is good for them.

I believe Bill Korch stopped doing a live morning show (6-7 a.m. and 7:30-8 a.m.) several months ago, around the same time that co-owned WKVE (103.1) stopped doing a live morning show.

At the same time, 770 KFB has become almost all music.

Yes Korch's morning show began to sound voicetracked to me several months ago.

Unfortunately we are headed for the time change when WKFB won't be on the air during
my morning routine (I don't live within range of the 97.5 translator).

About a week ago the computer hiccupped and spat out a Barry Banker promo.
Holy Back-to-the-Future!

And this morning in the seven o'clock hour KFB played Love to Love You, Baby.

How would you have liked to be a Program Director back in 1975 and have THAT one land on your desk??

Timothy and Love to Love You, Baby. Again, that's why we listen.
You sure don't get stuff like THAT from Larry and John.
