WKHM K105.3

I listened to them for about 20 minutes last night before turning them off Here's what they playedAll American Rejects - Move AlongNickelback - Savin MeWang Chung - Everybody Have Fun Anna Nalick - Breath (2am)Rihanna - Pon De ReplayWang Chung on a hit music station?! Disgusting!

HEY ! WAIT A MINUTE ! That Wang Chung smash was an awesome song back in the day ! It fits in perfectly as a gold smash on any CHR-POP playlist ! :DNow as great as that smash was (and still is) I would have serious problems with it if they played it every day. It's fine to play a gold-based track from 10 or 15 or 20 years ago (especially if it was huge in [any given] area back in the day), but if you play the same track over and over again (like every day) then you're overdoing it. It gets old real fast. That's the type of track you throw in to the mix perhaps once a week or so.Y-100 here in Miami plays "Hypnotize" (The Notorious B.I.G.) from 1997 as much as twice - even three times per day. It's actually a track that they wouldn't have dared play back in the day. I liked it the first 100.7 times I heard it this year. Now it's just plain irritating !THE MAJOR

With Jackson, MI, being a small market, they could get away playing Wang Chung more than they could being a Detroit or Lansing-area station.

No, no and no. I've heard that excuse from the station's management several times, and I still don't agree with it. Jackson has a huge potential market for CHR/Pop that remains underserved (especially with WJIM focusing primarily on Lansing, which I applaud them for), and leaning AC like that is not the way to attract the younger audience.By the way, sorry I haven't been able to post a sample hour yet... I just started working third shift, so my hours have been kinda wacky lately.

I should point out that over the past couple of weeks, WKHM has been leaning more and more Hot AC... which is an excellent choice. While they're still not fully where they should be, they're making progress, and I'm sure Jackson is very appreciative of it!

Sample hour forthcoming...
