WKHX and WYAY now under Citadel's roof

A couple months ago I would've expected them to flip WYAY immediately but with the ratings picking up and burying The Bull they'll probably be safe. On the other hand, Citadel has been pretty devoted to the bottom line so who knows? I'm hearing the attitude around some ABC-now-Citadel stations is "abandon ship."

Abandon ship and go where? Seriously, what other alternatives are there? LFM is selling out, CC is divesting, Cox is full, almost everybody "abandoned ship" when Cumulus took over Q & X, CBS is pretty stangnant right now. So, where can one go? Leaving would be like jumping off the Titanic and right onto the Edmund Fitzgerald.

And besides, aren't the ABC stations here in Atlanta pretty top-heavy with folks in their 40s & 50s?? Who in their right mind would jump ship at that age ----- where would they land?

you know absolutely nothing. Abandon ship! Moron!.

Those stations are solid, you cant find many that make more money. The Citadel story is a non story. No suprise that there was not a blood bath ala Susquehanna/Cumulus. Do you wish it???? so you can bable about something you know nothing about? This was a smooth and respectful joining of properties. Do you think that Citadel with markets from 30+ to over 100 plus have much to input to the average tenured and highly profitable ABC stations?

THEY wont flip WYAY or anyone. If it changes it will because locally they want to. Most people in this market would love to work there. do you think its Clear Channel???? Get real, say nothing until you know something.
