I'm not sure when this station signed on. I found very little information on the interwebs.
They are running a classic R&B format. The sound quality is very good and the signal covers most of Decatur county. Very solid 15-20 miles out from the transmitter. Even more solid in the urban neighborhoods.
No sponsorships yet, just music, TOH IDs and local weather updates. Good choice of an underserved format as WBBK 93.1 and all other Adult Urban stations have very spotty out of market signals in Bainbridge.
Cumulus owned WWLD is the local Hip Hop station so I assume WKLD is a take off of those call letters? Maybe?
Surprisingly this is the first LPFM running secular music that I've ever heard.
