The Gump... I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
KMX was a great station years ago.. I haven't heard them in years...
but I still have a cool KMX coffee mug. I got this thing in like...1979? or maybe 80' anyway, i sent a postcard to the station and asked for a bumper sticker and they sent me a couple of stickers and a mug..how cool..... we'd pick KMX up in the morning.. in the parking lot of jeff davis high school here in montgomery... they'd skip in when the weather was right... all us radio geeks liked it..... that was a long time ago... I'd love to hear them now.....see what's "really" going on down there...

Why would they do this. If I am not mistaken and memory
serves me correctly. Sue Hughes got her start in radio
at KMX. Why would someone want to hurt their alma mater?

Did someone mention my name...You are so right, I was there...worked middays...Lets see Connor Vernon and Chuck Leonard did mornings with Cal Calloway and Holly Lapoint(News)....Hal Edwards Afternoon drive and Brother Dave Miller nights and Kw Keene overnights. We had a great sounding station and what I've heard lately its still a great sounding radio station...I enjoyed the time spend there working at WKMX.

There are plenty of reasons. Most of the WTVY staff are WKMX and Radio People rejects. They couldn't hang with TRP or KMX, but now they can ruin KMX.
Better question is why dows Styles let any of there stations fail? Sure, once in a while one of their stations will do OK in the book. But they don't raise rates, they continue to burn through cash. Maybe. and this is a big maybe. They make there money by losing some cash on their stations but make up for it by suckering more investors to buy into the company. Think Adelphia.

Please When I came to that station it had a 3.8 at night I turn out an 18.2
yeah true Jason had better numbers then me but I have a proven track record
