WKNA 98.3 Logan Ohio drops country for Sam FM

"98.3 The Bull" WKNA Logan, OH has flipped from Country to Variety Hits "Sam-FM" with syndicated Ace & TJ in mornings.

Darn! You beat me to this post.... heard this on the way to Columbus from Athens. Nice sounding station too. Still has a few kinks, but not bad. Has jingles and good imaging... for 6000 watts, it has a nice reach. I got it all the way to 70 West in Columbus and then heading back to Athens, it started getting fuzzy around campus, but overall, still comes in alright. The signal apparently can reach all the way up north to Grove City and Newark and then south as far as Waverly City, Jackson, and Middleport. Kinda interesting since 101-5 Bob FM booms around this area with 50,000 watts of "everything music". 98.3 will really have to sound amazing to win, and so far, they're on their way. Interesting to bring a CHR show into morning drive too!

Good to hear ... heading to southeast Ohio this weekend so I will check it out. You mention 101.5 ... they get up as far as Fairfield County with regularity. You can hear them not too far south of Buckeye Lake under the considerable slop of WNKO. They do sound pretty good.

Yeah... Bob is 50,000 watts compared to Sam's 6,000 but Sam will get more into Columbus and in my opinion, Sam sounds much better.

Here in Columbus a translator assigned to 98.3 keep me from hearing it. But I do miss the adult hits format we did have here.

I heard that coming into Columbus. It was playing some latin stuff. You can pick it up in some areas. It's a great station. Women-targeted... heard it earlier....

Salt-N-Pepa - Push It
Seal - Crazy
Van Halen - Jump
Lady Gaga - Alejandro

That was in a set earlier separated by a stopset.
