Something tells me a certain Bull and a certain Fox had stomped a proverbial mudhole and walked it dry as far as the ratings were concerned.

MAYBE...just MAYBE Craig Karmazin is getting the hint about Hammer and Ned...MAYBE.

Rizzo solo from 3-6...that could be a nice little battle with Bull and Fox (maybe even a fatal 4 way with Triv and Cox).

In a perfect world...

6-9 - Mike and Mike
9-12 - Munch and Brinda
12-3 - Jim Rome
3-6 - Tony Rizzo (Not RBS...just Rizz)
6-7 - Browns Daily
7-9 - Xs and Os
9-12 - R & R
12-6 - ESPN

And let Hammer and Ned do their own show on KNR2 1540 from 12-2.

This should leave no doubt that 92.3 The Fan is starting to kick @$$ and take names.

Sure looks that way. Rizzo alone at 3 is risky...Looks like Rome may get his first hour back w/ Rizzo out of that 9-1pm slot. I'll reserve judgement until the full schedule is released, but these moves so far look veeery reactionary.

Ladies and Gentleman Craig Karmazin has hit the panic button. He now realizes the garbage he tried to pass off as sportstalk is not working. Roda and Reghi from 9-12? That is a snoozefest. Look for Rizzo to go 3-6, Rome will get his first hour back and some combination of Brinda and Munch maybe from 9-12. Hammer and Fedor can be given their own show on 1540 where all 3 listeners can hear them. 92.3 the fan has shown us what professional sports talk radio should sound like

I'd presume TJ Zuppe or Dave DeNatalie will become Rizzo's sidekick. Either one of them would be an automatic upgrade over what was forced on him with tRBS. Still, does Rizz REALLY have a shot against Triv, Bull & Fox, or Alan Cox? Yikes.

My educated guess: Munch will take an abbreviated 10a-12p or 9a-12p slot, and Rome will get full clearance back on 850. Say bye-bye to the 5am-on-850/7am-on-KNR2 show in the process. If, by chance, Aaron and Fedor assume the tRBS slot in total, they should just turn off the transmitter and hand in the license to the FCC.

This is a pure panic move. And far far quicker than I anticipated.

Nate, are they really that stupid? Hammer and Fedor alone from 9-12? That would be an unmitigated disaster that nobody would ever listen too. I mean really...

Having said that, I don't think Riz and a 'proper' guest would fare badly at 3pm. I'd flip between Bull/Fox and Riz, and probably stop listening to Triv - who's show has devolved over the years anyway.

This is the first time I can remember KNR putting 'name' talent besides Greg Brinda on at 9pm. Ken Carmen must be wrecking them in that time slot...

Craig is stuck between a rock and a hard place in regards to Hammer...CK knew he had to make changes to RBS (thus bye-bye Ned) but because of reasons we all know by heart, he can't do a thing with Hammer.

Craig knows the ship is sinking, but his hands are tied when it comes to tossing the anchor overboard.

Munch is staying put on his early morning shows on KNR and KNR2 that virtually no one is able to listen to. R&R will be by themselves at 9pm (Roda is assuming Cavs** and Indians beat reporter duties, so in a postgame show situation, Reghi hosts alone.)

So draw some conclusions right out of the gate with those hints.

Also, it seems like on-air that pairing Chris with Brinda in any slot will just lead to in studio hatred.

So...if Craig thinks he can put a show with guys whose initials are B & F on in PMD, it'll be a hit because the other guys are doing it?

And wouldn't that be essentially trying to replicate the dynamic of RBS, with the veteran Cleveland born and bred host (Rizzo/Brinda) and the young spoiled brat sidekick (Hammer/Ned)?
