WKNR will have pro baseball next year

For the three or four people out there that might care...

Yes, that's right ladies and gentlemen, WKNR will have professional baseball on its airwaves next summer. No, it's not the Indians. It's the Lake County Captains. WKNR and the Captains have a one year deal for next season. WKNR will carry about 120 of the 140 games. WELW 1330 will remain the flagship station.

So there you have it. A 50kw sportstalk station in a top 25 market having to resort to "single A" minor league baseball. But, I guess it's better than nothing. <P ID="signature">______________

At night, WELW is 42 watts, north-south (in an east-west metro).

At night, WKNR is 4.7kw, with nulls all over the place.

To see WKNR's antenna pattern...day and night (or any US AM or FM station)...go to www.radio-locator.com .....type in the call letters of the station you want to check out...or the city. When you find the station you're interested in, click on the little yellow icon..."i" next to the station's call letters.

FYI.
