WKOE was granted it's constuction permit yesterday at 3PM, to move to the new frequency and new location.

(and soon they will be able to use their "Bass River Township" COL in their ID's)

To my knowledge they already DO and have for several weeks now.

It looks like they have been doing it prematurely.

The construction permit to move to Bass River Twp. wasn't issued until yeserday.

When they begin operations under the new CP, it should be legal to ID as "Bass River Township".

It seems like when the green light was given to start the process of changing 106.3/Ocean City to 106.5/Bass River Township, someone assumed that WKOE was instantly licensed to the new community (which it wasn't). The moment that the station provides a 70dBu signal to most of the new COL while operating under the new CP is when they can claim "Bass River Township".

It's a done deal - the construction permit was granted.

Did anyone actually listen to 106.3 to see if there
was a "WKOE Ocean City" ID buried in there (and not
on the other stations) ?

Good point. It could be buried. I'm claiming immunity-- I am in another market right now.
______________

My bank has The Breeze on all day long, every day, every week. I hear the station every day, for 8 hours and they have NOT mentioned Ocean City since they began doing the Bass River ID.
______________

Are you listening to the Ocean City station ?
They have different feeds. What you hear
on each station is (or can be) different
when it comes to breaks and commercials.

I can't comment about IDs, but WKOE & WBHX have identical commercials and breaks.

Tom, I am listening to the Long Branch feed. Perhaps Jason can catch 106.3 and let us know if they are slipping in an Ocean City here or there.
______________

Don't think their official city of license will change until they build out the CP and get program test authority. Legally, until then, once an hour, "Ocean City" must follow the call letters. Of course, they can do a multi-city and ID as "Ocean City, Atlantic City, Hither, Yon, and Bass River Township" as they could have all along.

Now that the CP has been granted, pretty good. The only issue would be getting FAA and EPA approval for the tower site. Most likely they acquired the land or an option before applying for the CP (if they're not planning on going on an existing structure) and had their lawyers check the rule books to make sure what was proposed would comply.

They're going on the WWSI-TV tower in Tuckerton.

In that case, I'd put the move at 99.99%.
