WKOV-FM FRAZEYSBURG OH US?

So WKOV-FM 96.7 has a CP to move to FRAZEYSBURG OH east of Columbus.. Any word on build out? Looks like their CP expires in June.

I wonder if that happens if WCLT's country format moves to 96.7 and 100.3 becomes a simulcast of WCLT AM?

Maybe it'd go the other way. I can't see WCLT taking that very successful format off that excellent signal. 1430's signal, meanwhile, really struggles once you get beyond 7-8 miles from its tower. Some nights it comes in well here in Thornville, about 10 miles due south. Other nights WCLT really slugs it out with skywave traffic.

Considering how well they even do in CMH .. (I know it's not their target) I don't see WCLT-FM changing from Country...

Could we possibly see WKOV go with a locally programmed Hot AC format if bought by WCLT? (If they don't do as other have suggested and simulcast the AM)

Hey EMF could buy it and put KLove on it ... They wouldn't even have to change calls "WKOV" would work for KLove calls :)

WKOV currently sounds horrible with that canned Dial Global Hot AC that they don't run correctly. Hopefully if they move closer, they'd get rid of that.

Coshocton Broadcasting was sniffing around, not sure if they still are. The station I assume would act as a compliment to WTNS-A/F, but operate as a Zanesville station. "The Spirit of Zanesville?" I spoke with them about a few format ideas if they were to pick it up.

Last I heard was WCLT had been looking very hard at the station. Classic Hits or Classic Country is what I last heard from their camp if they get it.

Does WTNS-F still have that crazy format where they go from a CHR Sounding song to some classic AC or Oldies (70s/80s) song? It's been about 5 years since I last heard 99.3.

Just what central ohio needs another classic hits station. You'd figure with WNKO still focused on Newark they'd think different.

To quote a Talking Heads song: "same as it ever was." The swap shop show still airs twice a day, too.

Not gonna happen now, from the looks of their last filing.

They filed on 3/27 to stay at their currently licensed facility but change the city of license to Oak Hill, Ohio, and to dismiss the Frazeysburg application.

Had WKOV made the move they would still have to find a new format since WWJM in New Lexington which isn't too far from Frazeysburg has the same fed hot ac format as they do.
