WKPA Tower site for sale

I noticed the WKPA tower site is listed for sale at $750,000.00. So the land is more valuable than the station. I found the listing on www.radiotvdeals.com.
You will also find a tower for sale in Ambridge. I'm guessing this was the old 106.7 tower before the transmitter site was moved to Wexford.

Good news. The 1150 in New Kensington has been sold. The closing was last Friday. The new owners are planning to keep the station on the air. The format might be for the local Indian population. Alex Langer who moved 660 (he is no longer the owner) into Pittsburgh had a daytimer in Boston. It was not making any money until he programmed a Portuguese language format. He purchased a second AM in Boston and did another minority program. Both stations are making money these days. Let's hope the new owners are successful with their format.
