WKPE 104.7 Cape Cod

Has been sounding like crap lately. And I'm not talking about the programming, so ligthen up, Francis. Anyone know what's up with their power output? they sound like one of those old AM "stereo" stations that you can only hear at night........I'm sure they're not pumping any dough into the place with the impending sale, but if I were an advertiser, I'd be pretty pissed off right now. cant even listen to it anymore..

Their signal coverage appears to be normal (in terms of RF coverage). The problem is their audio, it's very conservative. If memory serves me correctly their using a two band Optimod 2200 processor.

Other than the audio quality, the station is very well engineered, I think Rob Landry is still involded with WKPE.

I can hear it occasionally in the Boston suburbs depending on conditions, so signal is good, but audio quality is tinny and weak sounding.
