WKPT AM SOARS

Welcome all radio professionals, I would like to make all aware that WKPT-AM is now nipping at the heals of certain "Rock Stations" in the tri Cities Metro Survey area. Through Tremendous Radio Personalities, (such as Janet Johnson) and the Correct mix of Great Music We have established ourselves once again as a farce to be reckoned with. I'm Sorry, that should be a Force not Farce, My Bad. If You listen closely to AM 1400,which by the way is a stereo broadcast, you will notice that it is very hard to tell that at some periods during the broadcast day we are Automated. Here is a silly little quip that happened at our TriCities AM Live Broadcast at the Food City in Kingsport, just the other day. An elderly gentleman walked up to our broadcast booth and tried to check out 10 items or less, Extremely funny, Janet Johnson was so polite to the gentleman, stating that she was a Radio Announcer and not a Cashier, We all had a chuckle when he tried to scan his grocery items with our Marti broadcast unit.
It was most enjoyable to see his reaction, when he realized what he had done.
AM radio is still alive and well in Tennessee.
______________
THAT WILL BE ALL FOR NOW.

confirm the rumors that kpt will soon move to the "George" format??
