Active Rock WKQH/Wausau-Stevens Point, WI flips to Country as "The New B1049, The Legends and New Country." Deals are in the works for a morning host as well as a PD, with other dayparts expected to be voicetracked.

in Wisconsin thats what people seem to like.

Plus Wausau is a blue collar/etc type city.

As of right now they sound tons better then they had been as an active rocker. The music in the rock formats last days was pure jockless. Dead air in between songs like a playing CD. Not good. They did not handle it right.

Wausau is still lucky enough to have WMZK (the heritage active rocker) Milwaukee doesn't have any active rock at all anymore.
