It’s official, Matt just announced the move to 790 1/5/23.

Sounds like it will just be SportsRadio 790. 1080 will be a News/Talk format. I believe 790 has a better signal in Louisville as well.

Not all format changes get press releases.

In my own experience, I have started about 25 new major market stations and changed format on perhaps 40 to 50 and never issued a press release.

I didn't even know they were still doing a show honestly. I thought they were doing their 9 AM show on WHAS-840 and that was it.

I am sure he will end up talking UK stuff as well. He seems like a good guy too. Look forward to hearing it. The fun part will be changing the phone number that people call.

Will do. They brought it up again yesterday and talked about the new phone number and KSR moving to 790.

Also, Matt Jones said today that they will be cutting promos that will be airing for a month on 1080 to tell listeners to switch to 790.
