WKRG Mobile CBS Schedule

As discussed on the thread about network pre-empts, until about the 1979/80 season WKRG in Mobile didn't carry the CBS schedule in pattern. Here's a week in July 1974:Sunday--no changes6:30--Apple's Way7:30--Mannix8:30--60 MinutesWKRG had their local news at 10:30, so they carried 3.5 hours of prime time programming. In Mobile/Pensacola, only WALA had news at 10. WEAR had a 11:00 news.Monday6:30--Good Times (instead of Friday at 7)7:00--Gunsmoke8:00--Here's Lucy8:30--New Dick Van Dyke9:00--Hollywood Squares (syndicated version)9:30--Medical Center (delayed 30 minutes)Tuesday6:30--Dirty Sally (instead of Friday at 7:30)7:00--Maude7:30--Hawaii Five-O8:30--Police Surgeon (syndicated show)9:00--Shaft (delayed 30 minutes)Wednesday6:30--Tony Orlando & Dawn (30 minutes early)7:30--Cannon (30 minutes early)8:30--Kojak (30 minutes early)9:30--I Spy (reruns)Thursday6:30--National Geographic7:30--The Waltons (delayed 30 minutes)8:30--Movie (I believe it was a local movie and not the CBS Thursday Night Movie)Friday7:00--Name Of The Game (reruns)8:30--CBS Friday Night Movie (delayed 30 minutes)Saturday--no changes7:00--All In The Family7:30--M*A*S*H8:00--Mary Tyler Moore8:30--Bob Newhart9:00--Barnaby Jones

I assume the shows you list as "30 minutes early" were actually tape-delayed from the previous week (so actually "167 1/2 hours late"). ;) If you compare the episode synopses of the out of pattern episode and the one that aired 1/2 hour later, it would be different.

Most of the delayed shows would have been a week behind.I remember back around 1971 WKRG carried Here's Lucy onMondays at 6:30 instead of 8 (Central), and it was on aone-week delay. Don't remember what aired at 8.Oddly, WKRG always ran the CBS daytime schedule in itsentirety, and totally in pattern (they used to carry WalterCronkite 5:45-6:15, however).
