First off,...Where in the Flyin' Fudgecake is Cokesberry, SC? ...and do they have a Mayor?
I believe the frequency is 91.9 FM, and the format is Oldies...Deep Oldies...Deeper...than a Consultant's Incompetence...Deep!
I know very little about this New/Little FM, but I enjoy about 97% of everything that I've heard. They claim the Best of Oldies & Beach Music, as if they were two separate things. These Beach heads sorta live in their own, we have our own music, world.
I can tolorate it, but the whole shag/finger poppin' culture makes my hair hurt a wee bit. However, it is certainly worth the wait...to hear some of their long-forgotten, Deep R&B/Soul gems. They play some that I can't even identify. Recently, I did figure one out: the Junior Walker cover of The Guess Who's "These Eyes"; giving the song a different twist. In addition to the large, deep rotation of over 3000 songs, they are now adding choice Christmas songs, so many an hour. To me, this is done correctly, without compromizing the format. It's a shame that both MAGIC & MY can't figure it out!

CokesBURY is located in Greenwood County, near the Abbeville and Laurens County lines. It's a census-designated place, or as they used to say back in the day, "a wide spot in the road". Population is 279 as of the 2000 Census, but I'd imagine it has grown a little bit since then.

As far as the "Best Of Oldies and Beach Music", hey I'm all for it as there has been a flux of transplants that had moved into the area that have no idea what Beach music is and what kind of impact it had in the Carolinas, or thinks Beach music is "surfing music from California". Also good for them that they are not over-killing it on the Christmas music. I've had a chance to listen to B-106 in Columbia while visiting parents over Thanksgiving weekend and was ready to change stations after 15 minutes.

It's owned by the same people as WRBK but it's different programming (same format though)...
I've heard both WRBK and WKRI from my location near Gaffney and both stations are different but similar.

WNBK in Whitmire/Newberry is a complete simulcast of WRBK, I can't hear that here in Gaffney because of WYFG.

I wonder about their other stations WFBK (Fort Mill) and now WUBK (Enoree).
They're the only ones I haven't heard yet but I bet they're also pretty good too.
