Hi Folks

Just saw this on All Access that WKRK has flipped to Radio 92.3 that will play more alternative rock, how would you feel if this kind of format was on KLLI?

Seeing KLLI is running a similar format on their HD2 channel, its an interesting question. Ive been saying for awhile KLLI is a few short steps away from a flip, save contracts with main talent (Jagger, RMS, ect..) and placement of competent managment holding up the works. Id like to see one of the following formats:

A) Alt/alt rock format, less KDGE, more KROX (101x) in playlist and rotation(i.e. less greatest hits, more new music)
B) Adult Alternative, KGSR-type format
C) Americana, which some on here of us got a survey about awhile back

Dallas already has too many sports, urban/CHR, latin and country stations. We need something new and different.

How about an FM talk station?? Oh wait, nevermind...

Ha-ha, irony! ;D

I like the fact the "free" format has collasped post stern, as he was the guy who kept CBS radio pretty much afloat all those years. I think its time we get a different format on the frequency thats a change from the garbage in the market now.

Make it music and get rid of Gavin, Jagger and Russ, then it might work.

Thats the "dead weight" thats dragging this ship down. Too bad corporate doesnt come into the market and handle up on business themselves..

The Greatest Hits addiction that Dallas-Ft.Worth programmers have, is an addiction that they they will never be able to break free from. It's like a Meth addiction... they're taking it all the way to the bottom........

Dallas is shallow Rock radio..... Looking for something deeper and a little less popish ? ?
You won't find that in this culturally vapid Metro-plex..

Its an addiction that I believe can be broken, all we have to do is clear out the vapid crack dealers known as consultants out of the business.
