If you have Dish Network you may have noticed that Young Broadcasting Company has suspended this station on Dish because they are demanding unreasonable contract terms and an excessive rate increase.
 
who came up with the term "unreasonable"...the DISH website? true, Young is wanting $0.01 per subscriber
from DISH to carry WKRN...and comparing themselves to ESPN.
apples/oranges...but they should get something...
 
At least this happened after the series fanale of Boston Legal, dissapointing end of a great show but still a favorite of mine (Denny Crane)
If Dish had not been carrying WKRN this past Monday I would have been upset. But, insted I was just dissapointed.
 
Give them .01 to get their news in HD. Used to watch them all the time until 5's news went HD. Now I bounce between 4 and 5.

BL was the ONLY series I watch on TV...Talk about a wasted series. How something could be so good, went so far down.
 
i've never seen the show..although i would spot snippets when surfing..i will say shatners hair looked pretty good for a rug...obviously didn't his from the same source as the opry.....
 
I don't have DISH NETWORK now but I have had it in the past. This is the second time that WKRN has pulled their singnal (or had been pulled, depending on who you side with) in the last five or six years. WKRN was not on DISH Network in either 2001 or 2002 from mid-August to late December of that year. ABC still had Monday Night Football then and their were several Titan games on MNF that season that DISH Network subscribers were not able to see from their own home that season.
 
With WKRN’s parent corporation stock at $.04 and their market value quite a bit less than their indebtedness, not being available on Dish might be the least of their problems.
 
I didn't want to start a new topic on WKRN since there already is one, and don't mean to
go off topic...but does anyone know why WKRN is sometimes showing ABC promos with Channel 36 from
Lexington, KY? I noticed this about four times today and once on Friday
I think...what's up with that? I guess they're owned by the same company but why would
they do this? ???
