WKRP to air on Antenna TV

I'd love to see the reruns that came later.
The 90's edition of WKRP!
It was good to see most of the gang back together again!

I think the terrestrial television broadcast license is the only one left that allows the original music to remain intact.
Of course, it's been years since I've seen WKRP so that could have easily been changed since then.
I seem to recall Nick At Nite had the neutered version back in the day.

If 'KRP runs on Antenna with the music unedited it would be an awesome pick-up.

This is worthy of clearing all of the shows that have been taking up space on my DVR - that is, if they aren't going to replace the music...

@Yez: You want to see "The New WKRP In Cincinnati"? I'll say this as nice as I can: Hold my order, terrible dresser. ::)

This is good news. And I'm glad it will be airing during the 10pm hour and not in the middle of the night. Married with Children has been played out way too long and on too many other networks.

What fun that little show was. Of course, now when you watch you won't think anything is a new program and find yourself saying, "Believe it or not, I have seen this one, and I haven't seen this program in years". :D

Ironically, I dvr'ed the Rockford Files from ME-TV yesterday and one of the guest stars was none other than Dr. Johnny Fever. Also, I didn't realize that Howard Hesseman actually started as a dj.

Antenna TV is one reason I don't pay for cable any more. Great channel!...there is always something good on.
In fact, I get so many digital off-air channels now, that I have plenty to watch without cable or Sat. Big Savings...

Still the horribly edited music-free version I assume?

Once they chop copyrighted tunes out of a show or movie they're never coming back.
After you've been forced to spend money to go to that extent you aren't likely to re-enter
negotiations with the copyright holders.

Still I'd like to see it if someone in Pittsburgh would pick up Antenna TV.

If terrestrial stations are the only ones allowed to use the episodes with original music and if Antenna TV supplies programming ONLY to terrestrial stations, then they could run the episodes with original music, right?

This sounds great, but I would have thought that WKRP would have shown up on ME-TV since they have other Fox distributed shows like MASH and the Mary Tyler Moore and Bob Newhart shows.

Antenna is available from WREG in Memphis, but they aren't on Charter in Jackson, TN. I wish it could end up in Jackson, but WBBJ doesn't even do ME-TV right.

I think I recall in the early-1990s, when WKRP reruns were syndicated to stations with much of their music removed, apparently the same versions that was later seen on TV Land.

Howard Hesseman is a man of many talents. I originally saw him circa 1967 at an improv theater on Broadway in San Francisco. He did many skits with and without accompaniment but the one I remember best was as a marijuana smoking driver trying to ditch the weed when a police car pulls up alongside. I laughed so hard my ribs hurt for two days. It's a shame he had but one big hit.

The new WKRP was actually very good. The plots were very well written.
A mother that might sell the station
A son that thinks he can replace the "all mighty" Herb Tarlic
Some hot sexy Mona Loveland character, and lots of other goodies...oh and...

KEEP PHIL ON THE AIR!!!!! ;D
