WKRP

That's nice - too bad no one in the Cincinnati/Dayton markets carry this very popular digital sub-channel. We are one of the few who don't. :(
I would trade The Cool TV for Antenna TV in a heartbeat. Wake up Sinclair!!

Just by chance, I caught the first episode last week when they changed the format and Dr. Johnny Fever scratched the LP and went into R&R...Venus made his entrance with his velvet outfits..... It was great! Then came the protests......Nice to see Loni again.... :-*

I don't believe the Sinclair has Antenna TV on any of their stations. It would be a better choice than Cool TV though. If Low Power ch 25 wasn't near bankruptcy and for sell maybe they could add it. They added This TV when Fox19 dropped them for Bounce TV which is a complete waste of space unless you like Soul Train and Fat Albert reruns.

Good question I was wondering the same thing. They hacked up the episodes pretty badly when they replaced the music.

The last thing I heard was when these went into DVD sales the original music had to be released due to copyright issues. I'm not sure if those same issues are present when the originals are rebroadcast.

"Oh I almost forgot...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOGER!"

Sinclair is doing the same trick in Columbus. We get Cool TV which I never watch. I would much rather watch Antenna TV which shows "Classic" TV programming. Basically what TV (B) LAND used to be. At least we have have ME TV in Columbus which is almost exclusively what my TV's are set on!

I notice that tv stations have an hd3 frequency on some of them. Maybe one of the local stations could ad a third channel and give you that antenna tv you ask for.

WPTD in Dayton has FIVE subchannels, including their 16.1. Other than that, no one else has more but .2s in Dayton. 2.1 and 2.2 are HD and Standard, 7.1 is WHIO-HD, 7.2 is WHIO-WX(7 Weather Now), 22.1 is WKEF, 22.2 is The COOL TV, 26.1 is WBDT, 26.2 is Bounce, 45.1 is WRGT, and 45.2 is THIS. Hopefully someone in Dayton picks up Antenna TV. WDTN 2 could throw it on their .2 subchannel instead of a rebroadcast of 2.1.

Since I don't have Antenna TV, I have no idea about the music issues for their airings of WKRP. I was lucky enough to tape both the 'KRP runs on E! back in the 90s and in 2001 on TNN, and both mainly kept the music intact on most episodes for the full four season run(90 episodes, the last being "Up and Down the Dial" where Momma threatens to flip WKRP from Top 40 to News without telling Andy). I was lucky enough to find the Pilot and Pilot Part 2 on VHS at Walmart back in the 90s for $3. This is the version with NO music alterations. I also was able to find the WKRP back-to-back two parter "Filthy Pictures Part 1 and 2" as well, which wasn't music-butchered on the syndicated versions, but some scenes were cut out to fit into the allotted time on the syndicated versions. WKRP was one great show that died b/c of the constant time slot changes heaped upon it by the morons at CBS that didn't realize what they had. :'(

Do these shows have the original music clips or generic?

Generic.Antenna TV posted on facebook and apologized for the music saying those are the only versions available for air the night they debuted WKRP

It's all a question of bandwidth. 9 is running an HD-3 that looks pretty good, but they aren't giving much bandwidth to the weather channel. 5 and 19 are burning valuable bandwidth on Mobile TV, that no one can see. If either added a third channel, the first 2 would suffer. It looks like 12 is running old encoders, and 12.2 already looks bad.

I never understood why 2 simulcasts on 2.2. What a waste!

Folks, we got ME TV recently in the Lexington area. We also have Antenna TV, they're both great, but let me tell you ME TV is even better. This is what you guys need. Look it up on the internet.

South Florida finally got ME-TV..It started today on WPLG 10.2 We Have Antenna TV on 39.3.However ME-TV is much better than Antenna tv..with the exception of NewsRadio ,WKRP and of course SOAP

Me TV reminds me of the old Nick at Nite or when TV land debuted.
