WKRT-AM Cortland

I've been driving around the state the last month or so and can finally confirm that WKRT-AM (920) in Cortland finally bit the dust. It's now WYBY and relaying the Bible Broadcasting Network. Fybush.com says it happened in late September but I haven't been close enough to that area to see what finally happened.

Sad...............

It hadn't been a strong station in some time. When Citadel changed it from oldies to talk a few years back that was the first mistake. Actually, the first mistake was probably not hiring a suitable replacement talent for mornings when it was still oldies. I think they just ran the satellite in mornings for awhile. Budget issues I guess---big corporate radio---doh!! The crosstown FM picked up the oldies format and from what I've heard they done a LOT better with oldies than their previous format.
