WKSC Afternoons

Tic Tak & The Freak Show are apparently out over some issues with the 1000 listeners thing.

Rod Phillips (the PD) is now shown as afternoons 4-8 on the WKSC site www.kisschicago.com

Not 100% sure but it MAY be a stunt. I can tell by the way Rod is acting on the air. After a commercial for a promo event with The Freak Show he went on to do traffic and made a comment "Somebody should change that commercial"

did traffic and said something along the line "Am I the only one happy that Stick isn't doing traffic anymore?"

Usually they make no mention at all of people who are removed/fired from the station.<P ID="signature">______________

Anytime I hear Adam Smasher, he sounds like Smash, minus the raspy voice. I wonder if anyone ever thought that Adam sounded like Smash. With the change, I wonder if Nikki will return to middays at 10am. I personally believe she fit the midday slot better than afternoons, IMO. Other than any change in their lineup, I don't see their ratings improve by much.

what they (KissFM) should do is invest in some airstaff that actually KNOWS chicago...kinda like emmis bringing johnny b back. you can't get more chicago than johnny b, right? i'm talking that person/those people should be someone actually IN the target demo that lives and breathes chicago. that's the heart that's been missing from KIIS...er, i mean WKSC...and the advantage that B96 has had over most competitors. their people are all about chicago and chicagoland. not about being pretty enough for TV (sorry eddie & jobo! though roxanne has her moments; and depending on the highlights in middleton's hair he could do it again...LOL), or offending the masses for ratings or getting hung up on by stars or what ever, but B96 has for the most part had people passionate about chicagoland, the music, the people and the station. well, except for that holla & bling boy-bot crap B has on at night, they may be from naperville or oak park or where ever, they just don't cut it. i would much rather hear a couple of rockers from a local access cable channel broadcasting from a basement in aurora...(cue "wannabe" music)....
