WKSX 92.7 sold to religious broadcaster.

Oldies outlet 92.7 WKSX out of Johnston/Edgefield has been sold to the Power Foundation for $180,000. Power Foundation runs the Life FM religious stations.

Up until around 2003 or 2004, 92.7 WKSX used to simulcast with WJES 92.1 out of Saluda. WJES 92.1 was sold to Double O broadcasting and moved to Columbia. After several format changes and owners throughout the years, 92.1 was sold to Radio Training Network in 2016 and continues to be a His Radio affiliate.

I listen to KSX on occasion here in Augusta and it was nice to have a truly local radio station still around, but I know times have changed. The Life FM must have deep pockets as they’ve been buying small market/indie and rimshot signals like crazy.
