95.3 WKTN in Kenton is shaking up it's format. Their article can be found here.

"Some of you have already noticed, WKTN is moving to a different kind of format and radio experience.

It’s not just different shows, but over the next few weeks you will start hearing a little more country, rock, hip-hop, old school, 70s, 80s, and 90s, while keeping with the 2000s, 2010s, 2020s and current.

Instead of sticking to a format like all the other radio stations do, we are thinking outside of the box.

The goal is to focus on the hit music that made you dance, sing a long, tap your foot, or to help you through the workday, or night."

sounds like a little wider and more unfocused than KLMI-FM Laramie, WY

That’s 95.3 WKLM in Millersburg.

It’s an interesting idea for a full-service, small town station. Maybe trying to serve the masses in their county with one station, but it could also cause tune out with listeners who used the hot AC format as easy listening (especially depending on what they do for hip-hop in rural Ohio.)

If only you could bring back Dixie Rose, but I digress. (She worked for me, too, back at 107.7 WHMQ in Findlay.)
