WKVB 107.3 license to cover filed.

I don’t think all (or any?) of the WKVB boosters are on the air yet. I think we may still be hearing just the parent signal from Hudson.
I believe I heard them testing (at least one of) the boosters a few months ago because it was suddenly coming in full-power with all HD subchannels here in Somerville for a short time, then it went back to the weaker signal that I usually get that won’t easily lock on to HD.
I believe the boosters are on the air and have been for a while. A couple weeks ago while in Boston I noticed one of the boosters or the main briefly had dead air.
Interesting. I wonder if the booster had lost lock and was attempting to shut down, which is supposed to happen if the booster loses lock.
I also cant imagine the main is fed by IP, as some Klvoe signals are.. would imagine in a big market like this, its satellite fed

Their 105.3 xltr has been a dead carrier for the last few days (//107.3 & 1.570 are still w/progrmg).

Is the reason as to why WKVB can't move back to the Paxton site with WAAF's original 20kw signal is because of W297BT in New Britian, CT where much of their signal now covers areas that were in WAAF's original contour? Doesn't the FCC have rules governing protection of full service FMs from interference with low power FMs on the same frequency? Or, once Entercom moved to Boylston, did they give up their ability to challange the presence of W297BT?
I don't think that WKVB, like WAAF before it, has any interest in moving the transmitter back to Paxton. They want to cover greater Boston and its immediate metro as best they can, and they can do that better from Hudson than from Paxton, even with lower power.
There would be no use in them going for a weaker signal in Boston to cover all the mostly rural areas they could cover from Paxton. They also have other affiliates in central MA, CT, and RI.
