WKXU, in its 102.5 form, has never had a website, though that address used to be used for WKXU when it was on 101.1 as "Country Legends Kix 101.1". I don't think 102.5 ever had a web presence as WHLQ either.
I don't know if this will become WPTF-FM...as a Louisburg-licensed station, 102.5 could have provided needed fill-in to a major null in the 680 AM nighttime pattern (north Raleigh, Wake Forest and Franklin County), but the move to Hillsborough negates this. A possible simulcast with WWMY 102.3, soon to be moved to Smithfield, wouldn't help this null much either. Now, if the object is for WPTF to establish an FM presence to attract a younger demographic (a la WSB, WOKV, et al), then a WPTF on FM is a brighter possibility.
As far as other format options, there's no telling. Beyond WPTF-FM or other current CMG simulcast possibilities, they could go variety hits (we've never really had that here), urban/hip-hop against K97.5, black gospel/ministry could work, especially in the western half of the market or maybe an active rock (with some changes to complement 96Rock). Maybe even AAA if they want to wade into those waters.
In possibly related news, I've noticed that WKIX-FM is now imaging as "Carolina's Greatest Hits 102.9 FM", though the logo remains the same. Guess they had to drop the "Y" from "Y-102.9" since its no longer in their call letters..especially if 102.3 possibly won't be a part of the simulcast much longer.
