HEAVY radio talk ... yours only on Radio-info.com
> I love it! Sooooo True!
> When I lived in Phoenix you couldn't
> get people to shutup! It was great!
> And even radio in Phoenix was anti-climatic.
> Okay...maybe a little more exciting because
> radio people actually posted and talked openly.
>
> It's definitely different here. VERY QUIT!
I never knew Sooners to QUIT Steve

.
They may be quiet.
Maybe Oklahomans are lovers, not fighters.
> So here's my two cents:
Could I have my change please?
> > Why is this board as dead as those two stations?
>
> Because it's business as usual. However I will say
> I'm listening to WKY more so than ever before.
> I like Paul Harvey and I like SOME of the local talk.
How old is Paul now?
108?
Got to admit though, the man sounds great for any age.
Guess it proves that working at what you love, keeps you young.
>> Not all, but some. As for KOKC....(fill in the blank)
Could you fill in THIS blank?
What does Garth do all day?
Trash can basketball?
> > Do you know the way to San Jose?
> Yes...weather is great there, but the city's a little drab.
I liked Santa Clara back in the '60s.
But then you could buy a house for what a car costs today.
Time marches on.
> > Do you know the way to Chickasha?
> Is it me or John Holt a severe smoker?
Who's is John Holt?
> > Which has been around longer? Gary England ... or dirt.
> Gary England (Money talks when you've made a few million)
> I'd stick around too. Although...I'm really starting to
> see
> a lot of wrinkles on Local TV News these days.
> Question is, How long will Bob Barry Senior be on TV?
> Wow....big candidate for Plastic surgery..although it may be
>
> too late for the big guy.
I heard Bob Sr. on the Sooners radio broadcast this weekend.
He was getting a little testy with his color man. Can't think of his name. Former assistant OU coach. Low key guy.
How long is Senior Bob going to keep doing the OU games?
Thought Boren was trying to retire him.
Think he started in 1962 or so before switching to OSU in the 1970s, then back to the Sooners.
> What happened to Dale Wehba?
> He's still around. I think he's still spinning music at
> a local club using a 1950's tube type amplifier and a stack
> of scratched 45's on a pair of Harris turntables...I don't
> know.
Wow!
Viva La Wehba.
I think he owes me 50 cents for a Coke, but I don't hold grudges.
> > Was Charlie Tuna the best DJ ever to work in Oklahoma
> City?
> > Or maybe Ronnie Kaye?
> Charlie Tuna & Ronnie Kaye are definite icons of radio.
Dead even.
Both still smooth. Still great.
And you can tell they love radio too.
You cannot fake that.
Although they say the key to success in broadcasting is learning to fake sincerity.
How am I doing so far?
> > Do you think the Sooners will have a winning season?
> OSU & Texas will beat OU this year. Unless they
> some how pull out of it and get it together.
Answered like a politician up for reelection.
>Next year
> should be great.
>
> > Is groovin' better than being HEAVY?
> He Ain't heavy, He's my brother/Hollies 1970
He ain't your brother.
Whether he's heavy or not ... is opinion
