WKZE AM to become WHDD

Willpower radio and Tri-State Public Communications have signed a LMA agreement that will take effect on November 1st. AM 1020 WHDD/real hometown radio will feature block programming, lots of live remote broadcasts, talk and interview shows..all local...Tri-State Public Communications is a 501 (c)(30 non-profit corporation that operates robinhoodradio.com, and CATV 6 in Northwest Connecticut. AM 1020 WHDD will become the first non-commercial sation in the northwest part of Connecticut. WHDD wills erve adjacent Eastern new York, and Southerm berkshire County in MA. On-air date is set for November 1st if all equipment arrives in time!!!

Good luck with your new endeavor. It's good to see t 1020 frequency put to good use and be operated by someone cares about the community and puts some effort into how the station is being operated.

I will check out WHDD 1020 AM soon if it comes on. The station was stronger in the daytime and none of them comes out good at night, because the station was swallowed by 1010 WINS.

Actually they sign off at sundown, per FCC rules, a relatively rare thing these days, because KDKA, 1020 Pittsburgh has 'clear channel' rights to the frequency. We can get KDKA at night.

Yes especially, if you can get 1010 WINS at night, it would be much better.
