WKZE Red Hook FX Is Interfering With WQXR Again

WKZE Red Hook FX Is Interfering With WQXR Again

WKZE Red Hook FX Is Interfering With WQXR Again. Whatever method used to mitigate this issue has failed .I realize Willpower radio can’t legally increase the power of their repeater that seems to be happening. The 103.7, Highland repeater is transmitting a scratchy, severe clash between their FX and WQXR. At times WKZE even dominates. At my home just north of Poughkeepsie starting a few days ago 105.9 has gradually shifted from a very weak WQXR to a clash of the two stations, to a now weak but dominate WKZE

Re: WKZE Red Hook FX Is Interfering With WQXR Again

Yesterday, I was tuning in to 103.7 that WQXR's translator is doing fine, but no big loss there. Now look what happened, WQSH's "Crush-FM" at 105.7 in Albany is interfering WKZE's translator at 105.9 which is 2 kw up the dial. WQSH's signal is splattered if you are in Kingston. I remember the time it happened about a year ago when WKZE's translator was at 99.1 in Red Hook and it was interfering "News/Talk 99.3" which is WKIP-FM. That was before WGNY-FM's "Fox Oldies" came on at 98.9 after the move back in early February. I hope if WKZE's translator wouldn't stay on at 105.9 for a long period of time, they should move it back to AM at 1020 to get rid of the WHDD call letters and bring back WKZE-AM in Sharon, CT.

WKZE does not own WHDD AM 1020 anymore, it's owned by Tri-State Public Communications, (WHDD-FM 91.9)! So that's not happening! :)
