WKZR-FM 102.3

ok radio-locator.com shows it has a CP to go 6,000 watts. The 2 questions i have are this will it reach macon and if so will it stay country or change format?

I don't think you will see a significant change. The coverage difference betweren 3000 and 6000 watts at the same height and location will help them a bit in the fringe areas and help building penetration a bit. Macon is a bit of a stretch, even with the changes, as there are closer stations on 102.1 and 102.5, but it might help them a bit in Gray.

A double of your power is roughly a 3db increase in signal strength. It takes about 3db to be "noticeable" to the listener and to your coverage area. You may even notice more of an improvement in certain directions than others depending on the antenna and surrounding terrain. 8)
