WLAT and WNEZ off the air

MarcB said:
Anyone know why WLAT and WNEZ are off the air? I went to listen to The Reggaeton Show as usual at 12 Noon and heard nothing on 910. Then I flipped up to 1230 and heard bleed over from WQUN and WWCO (1220 and 1240 respecively). What's up with the 2 Gois Broadcasting stations?
If the Patriots didn't have the off week, he wouldn't have noticed it. ;)

Sound like they're on here in New Britain. No music at all. However, I here something humming in the background and "TUNED" appears on my radio, so their carrier is indeed on.

I don't think it's 'LAT. I've been hearing something very faint on 910 since darkness has fallen. I think it's traces of some other station. I didn't hear this during the day. And I'm still hearing this now. And my friend Nick lives on Route 6 in Farmington near their towers and he said he can hear some other station very faintly on 910. He's normally complaining to me about how strong 910 is.

JAMZ 910 was a pretty good station for the area it was able to reach. At least they mixed in some urban AC like WYBC-FM of New Haven does. Better than what WZMX-FM shoves down our throats today.

Wow...Connecticut radio has gone back to sleep again :)
Again!?! A generic, store-brand bowl of Rice Krispies WITHOUT THE MILK has more snap, crackle and pop than any Connecticut radio station ANYWHERE in the state! ;D

Funny, according to the ratings more and more people are doing exactly that! Changing the station from WZMX.

A friend of mine who has some connections down there tells me they were off the air because of a power failure. In addition apparently GOIS changed the locks and forgot to give the key to the weekend operator

what happened was the elevator is the only weekend access to the building and when the power went off it reset them. so they where not moving from the parking garage. the land lord of the building fired the mantaince company that works the elevators so nobody could get in to turn on the stations
