WLBZ-2 prime time technical problem

WLBZ-2 (NBC) Bangor suffered a 12 minute technical problem from 9:36 to 9:48 tonight. It was a frozen picture from "Biggest Loser" that stayed up even through the local break! Try to reach a live person via telephone at night at the station is an impossibility. That's where cutbacks get ya!

- I might imagine the folks who were there to answer calls were rather overwhelmed if they were frozen for that long...

- Was it frozen on all delivery methods?
(OTA, all cable providers, both satellite providers, FIOS?)
It's entirely possible the station wasn't even aware of the problem if it happened on a cable provider other than the one that serves the station itself.

Were you watching the program OTA? If so, maybe the transmitter went down, which causes a frozen picture on some equipment until the channel's changed.

If you've changed the channel and went back and still see a frozen picture, maybe it was a problem at their end.

I was watching it OTA. Checked it on another TV in the house which was not hooked up to the same antenna. Changed the channel. The funny thing was after this occurance, during Jay Leno's program, the same frozen picture popped back up for a second.
